European attitudes towards the U.S.
TIMEeurope magazine conducted a poll which asked "Who really poses the
greatest danger to world peace? Iraq, North Korea or The United
States." They received 700,000 responses. 86.9% voted for the United States.

A poll conducted by Harris Interactive between February 27 and March
4, 2004 found that 70% of respondents have negative opinions of
President Bush. In contrast only 13% of Europeans have negative
opinions of American people and 33% have negative opinions of the United States.

Octobe2 2003 which found that 53 percent of Europeans thought America was a threat to world peace.

A poll conducted by the Pew Research Center in association with the International Herald Tribune found mistrust of the United States was expressed in Germany (82%), France (78%) and Britain (58%). They also found European dislike of President George W. Bush with negative opinion of Bush in France and Germany 85%.
